Types of Characters:
Selfless and Courageous
I think there will always be a special place in my heart for all of those epic characters who are the champions of others. Those guys and gals whose main concern is for the safety and happiness of others. The ones that are always willing to sacrifice themselves no matter the circumstance. I love their compassion and courage amidst impossible odds or just plain dangerous situations. Do they always get everything right? No…but their hearts of gold more than makes up for it. They instill such hope and love that you can’t help but adore them. Jacob and the Wolves…love them. Despite the constant rejection, Jake’s concern for that girl is to be commended. Harry Potter gave us an endless cast of characters with the selfless trait. But none stood out more than the consistent trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermoine. I love those kids and everything they stand for. Katniss also makes the list. Her concern was always for her sister. She didn’t even seem to care much about herself at times, or anything for that matter. But the love she had for her sister, that translated to Rue, was heartwarming. Of course these aren’t the only characters, just the ones who are probably more known and popular at the moment. And to me, all of these characters will be timeless. I also love funny characters. Weaseley twins anyone? But maybe I’ll get to wax poetic about them in the future.
