Reflections of a Bookaholic

First and Foremost I’d like to wish Alexis of Reflections of a Bookaholic a very Happy Birthday! I think it’s cool her birthday landed on the day we participate in her meme.  Anyway, hope you have a wonderful day today Alexis!

Why I Love Wednesdays is a weekly meme created and hosted by Alexis of Reflections of a Bookaholic. Each week she posts a Why I Love Topic that she answers. If you would like to participate head on over to her site for the topic and the image. This week’s topic:

Favorite Villain:

**Note:  I mixed up the topics so last week’s topic is my topic this week.  Sorry for the mix-up!

Professor Snape of Harry Potter fame.  Snape was an awesome villain because his back story was so unexpected.  But not only that. I truly loved Snape’s character from the very beginning.  I always sensed something lingering in the background about him that I couldn’t quite figure out and always wanted to really know what fueled his unabashed hate for Harry.  Snape was sinisterly brilliant and probably the most clever and cunning character in the book.  J.K. wrote him wonderfully and I really loved to hate him.

Snape was a great villain. I never knew if I could trust him or not. Plus, he always looked so creepy!

I love Snape, but I love Alan Rickman even more! I always knew he was in love with Lily, maybe it’s because I read a lot of romance and a keep seeing romantic subplots everywhere, even where there’s none, but I saw that one coming almost from book 1, LOL.

  5. Ohhh, Snape. He was wonderful. That perfect mix of villain but with a good heart that just kept you on your toes right up until the end!

I have to say that I totally agree about everything, just as always when you describe HP things. 😉 You word it so well! Yes, yes, yes. Snape is my favourite villain too and I loved reading about him.

  8. I love Snape! He is a prime example of a misunderstood character. I really loved to hate him and then he broke my heart :/ But you are right, his character was beautifully written.
