Why I Love Wednesdays: Favorite Reading Season /Weather!!

Why I Love Wednesdays is a weekly meme created and hosted by Alexis of Reflections of a Bookaholic. Each week she posts a Why I Love Topic that she answers. If you would like to participate head on over to her site for the topic and the image. This week’s topic:

Favorite Reading Season/Weather:

Season: Late Spring and Summer are my favorite reading seasons. I love warm weather and love to sit outside in the sun losing myself in a new world…or a familiar one. I love the air, the heat, and the smell of fresh cut grass and dirt. I love the scampering animals, the scent of the flowers, and the dancing limbs of the surrounding trees. I love everything about Spring and Summer…perfect reading weather.

Weather: I love to be cozied up with a good book during a nice thunderstorm. There is nothing like hearing the rain washing down outside. It produces a nice rhythmic cadence to relax and read too. And it makes me want to get comfortable with a soft pair of PJ’s and my bed.

What season/weather do you love to read in?

  1. enjoyed reading your very descriptive reason for loving the spring and summer for your reading choice. now i shall do mine.

  2. I love reading in warm weather but then I get too hot and I go inside and then it is too cold. I can’t seem to make up my mind. I’m wishy-washy like that.

@ RRR, thanks for stopping by!

@ Alexis, tee hee, I’m the same way. While I love the hot…sometimes I get too hot and have to break into the air. Then I get way too cold. I think that’s why I threw Spring in there too, because it seems to be a pretty nice balance.

My fave is winter. After being cooped up all winter – I like to be on the move during the summer. Your description makes me want to change my mind about that, though. Sounds so relaxing.

  5. How funny! I dislike warm weather so that’s sort of why I enjoy reading in the summer. 🙂 Great post.
