Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. First you leave your name here and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them hi in their comments. You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win.

Today’s featured blogger is Ninja Girl from Ninja Girl Reads. So go check her out and be sure to follow

Q. It’s circle time. Time for us to open up and share. Can you tell us FIVE quirky habits or things about you? We all have them…

1. I still have and sleep with a ‘little pillow’ that my Grandmother made for me when I was four years old. It’s akin to Linus and his blanket.

2. I almost always remember my dreams, and usually with such clarity.

3. My first website ever was a fan site dedicated to Marlon Wayans…click the link, it’s STILL up!

4. I’ve been reading since the age of four. I was the only kid in my kindergarten class to already know all the words the teacher’s were teaching.

5. I was born with Sickle Cell disease, but think I manage the crisis’ a lot better than many other SS patients.

The Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!

Book Blogger Hop

“If you were given the chance to spend one day in a fictional world (from a book), which book would it be from and what would that place be?”

Hands down I would choose Hogwarts. I wish I was a young wizard recieving my acceptance letter for the first time. And getting to spend several years at the infamous magical school hanging with Harry, Ron and Hermoine, hugging on Dobby, and learning from McGonagall and Dumbledore. I think I’d also love to give Quidditch a go and sneak down to Hagrid’s for some tea and hard cakes. Hogwarts truly is magical, and definitely the place I’d love to be!

  1. Hello. I’m a new follower from FF. Regarding number 4: me, too! My mom wanted me to already have a good grasp on reading before I went to kindergarten and she succeeded. I was the only kindergartener who knew what an amphibian was. LOL. I hope you have a great weekend.

  2. Great answer! I’m a new follower coming in from the Hop and our answer comes from Harry Potter, too, although I chose Diagon Alley.

Glad to find a new blog!

  3. I was an early reader, too! Even at three or four I wanted to go over the ABC’s every day with my mother. I also didn’t want her to read to me, I wanted to read everything myself.

    I never did like numbers, though . . .

  4. Kayleigh says:

I think a few people will choose Harry Potter this week! I was so sad when that letter to Hogwarts never arrived!
    Check out my answer…

    New follower!

  5. Thanks so much for stopping by earlier. Just passing by to return the love (& follow) 🙂

  6. Hi & Happy Friday!

    I am a new follower 🙂

I have listed my answers here, http://obsessionwithbooks.blogspot.com

    Have a great weekend..

Wow. You got a great memory. I wish I could remember what I have dreamed last night

  8. Pussreboots says:

I’ve been mulling over this question now for about three hours. Picking just one is never easy for me. I’ve read so many wonderful books over the years. Come see what I chose.

  9. Ms. C says:

Found you through the Hop and now following, too! I also chose Hogwarts 🙂

    Take care & happy reading,
    Ms. C

  10. I went to your website and I was so impressed. It made me smile. I take Layla (my little stuffed ladybug) everywhere. Literally everywhere. And don’t tell my brother I said this but he still carries his blanket around like Linus. He’s 22 now. That blanket gets smaller and smaller. This world is a crazy place, we need some comfort we can depend on.

  11. Darkfallen says:

Good pick! Hogwarts would definitely be an awesome experience:)

    New follower;))

Come check out ours, and see what we’ve been up to this week!

  12. Rebecca says:

I love that you still sleep with that pillow. I used to have little glass angel–I’d given it to my great grandmother (she was more of a grandmother than my grandmother was), but got it back when she passed away–beside my bed at all times. Then it sadly fell and broke…

You were definitely an early reader! And oh, I’d never even heard of that disease… Glad you’ve been able to manage it well!

My quirky list can be found here!

  13. Hey! Hopping through, I was a young reader too! So much so that I got kicked out of spelling class in grade 6. Teacher told me: Go do creative writing!

  14. I’m seeing Hogwarts a lot today! Wouldn’t it be awesome to visit there for a day??? 🙂

  15. Hi! I’m a new follower, and I actually think we have quite a few quirky things in common! LOL I remember my dreams, vividly and in detail, as well. I’ve always been told to write them all down. And we have a quirky thing in common! I started off with a fansite as well! LMAO

OK, bye now, come by and check out my blog
Under The Covers to read my answers to both things.

  16. TC says:

My mum tells me that as a toddler if we were out and about and I was getting fed up she could give me any sort of leaflet or brochure to read and I’d be perfectly happy. Guess that’s where it all started! Have a great weekend.

  17. I couldn’t just pick one fantasy world, so I picked five. The Harry Potter realm was on my list though! I think a lot have people have chosen that! Which house would you want to be in? 🙂

    Have a great weekend!

  18. Lesley says:

Why did I not think of Harry Potter????

  19. Ren says:

Happy Friday and Happy Blog hopping 🙂
I thought of Hogwarts myself but then I got to thinking about Star Wars and I really love that whole world.
    Have a great weekend!

  20. Ninja Girl says:

AWWWW, I love Linus! One of my favorite Peanuts characters (along with Charlie Brown of course. Good grief! lol) Anyway, that’s cool about your dreams. I’d love to remember mine…some of them anyway 😉 It would be nice to know why I’m waking up happy or scared, etc. But really, I think you come up with some really great ideas in the dreamstate. Creativity is fully open, you know? No limits.
But anyway, thanks for following me, and I’m off to follow you now 🙂

  21. howard says:

I’ve seen a lot of great picks and gathered some fresh titles to add to my ever-growing TBR list. My answer will probably stun most people because the world I picked is a place most people would be scared to death of and try to escape from. Me? I want in.

Hop on over to my blog and be prepared for the unexpected – http://www.howardsherman.net

  22. New Follower, Harry Potter is a great answer, wouldn’t that just be so cool though not sure I would want to face Voldemort LOL.

  23. Lena says:

I have slight OCD. I can only use white towels. I need to be able to see the dirt or lack thereof.

THere is no fictonal place I would want to visit that I can think of. Probably Panem from The Hunger Games, but I wouldn’t want to be a participant. Just a quick observer. 🙂

  24. Shana says:

I wish I could remember my dreams! Hi! Just stopping by. Following you from the Feature and Follow Friday blog hop. Would love a follow back: blog.writerslairbooks.com. I also have twitter: @wlbks and a facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/flightlessgoose. Have a ‘good read’ weekend!

  25. Lena says:

And I can so relate to Marlon Wayans. I thought he was the second cutest of the clan. I preferred Damon Wayans. But you were a true fan, built a website and all. I had to laugh at the bottom of the marlon website….I will contact you and give you a piece of my mind. Funny, thanks for giving me my chuckle for the day.

  26. Stephanie says:

Hi from the hop. You are the second site I have visited today and the second with a prior website history.
I have celiac so I can sort of relate, although it is not s scary as sickle cell. But, it sounds like you have the challenge of living well despite the challenge down pat. Hope you will come by.

  29. Elizabeth says:

Another win for Harry Potter. 🙂

Stopping by from the Blog Hop.

I would want to be in Louise Penny’s fictional city of Three Pines.

Stop by my blog if you like.

  30. New follower from the hop. Enjoy your time at Hogwarts!

  31. Joder says:

Ah…Marlon Wayans. I enjoyed his humor and I love that you still have the site. Thanks for becoming a follower of my site. I’m now following you back.

  34. Kylie1403 says:

if you dont mind me asking, what is Sickle Cell disease

also thanks for stopping by my blog! Your’s is sooo cute

  35. Jade jadaloves says:

@ Kylie SS disease is a hereditary blood disease. Basically not all of my blood cells are shaped round, some of them are misshapen like sickles. So sometimes it’s difficult for my blood to safely and easily travel through arteries and veins. The cells can block the openings of arteries and veins causing a blockage build up which in turn causes TREMENDOUS pain. The pain episodes are called crisis’. And most times we never know when one will come on. We could be anywhere doing anything and the pain will just hit. Sometimes it’s manageable at home, and sometimes it’s unbearable and warrants a trip to the ER. On top of that most SS patients are anemic and sensitive to the cold. That’s why I HATE the cold! I appreciate you asking and wanting to know. Not everybody is aware of SS and what it entails.

  36. Judith Leger says:

I dream vividly too. Do you write them down? Happy FF and BH! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  37. Jade jadaloves says:

@ Judith, yes I do write down many of them. I have a whole bunch of dream journals I’ve filled up.

  38. Katie says:

Katie, just hopping by! I’ve only read the first three harry potter books unfortunately but I plan on finishing the series this summer! New Follower, have a great weekend. To see my answer and follow me back to go magicisinwords.blogspot.com
