Wicked Winter Read-a-Thon: Updates
Saturday February 4, 2012 at 8:10 pm |

Saturday, 8PM:

Just an update.  I haven’t progressed as far as I would have liked because I’ve had too many unavoidable distractions.  That being said I have manged to complete the book Black Gold by Anita Richmond Bunkley that I started reading prior to the read-a-thon.  I’ve also started Waterfall by Lisa T. Bergren.  So far I’ve gotten to page 142 which is a little over halfway done.  I’m going to keep trucking and hope I can finish in the next couple of hours.  I’m also off to check out the new challenge that’s posted.

Sunday, 2AM:

Finally finished Waterfall by Lisa T. Bergren.  That book took me entirely too long to finish.  About to start Sanctuary Cove by Rochelle Alers which I’ll read until I fall asleep.

Sunday, 4PM:

Only on page 37 of Sanctuary Cove by Rochelle Alers.  It’s very hard to read with an intelligent, yet very hyper 2 year old running around.  But he’s so much fun.  I’ll keep on trucking though in hopes that I can at least get halfway if not finish.

Challenge: Sentence to Song

This challenge is courtesy of Amanda @ Letters Inside Out.  The rules are as follows:

So, I challenge you…*smiles sweetly* to come up with a song on that fits your current read.

What I Want:

*Name of your current read/Author
*Link the YouTube video in the comments OR post it on your blog and leave that link in the comments
*Explain briefly why that song fits. Just remember: No spoilers, please.

The winner will be chosen via Random.org.
It’s international, but you must be 13+.
You have until today at 8PM EST!

The following is my current read:

and the song I’m picking to accompany is Me and Those Dreaming Eyes of Mine by D’Angelo.

I think this song fits because every time the two main characters see each other they are captivated. They commence with the staring and eye games, capturing each others attention and thinking about the other without actually approaching one another. They think about each other and are certainly attracted to one another.  And this song is just beautiful and light which reminds me of the nice and comfortable feel of the book right now.  But I’m only thirty pages in so that could change the further I read.  But for now, this song is appropriate.
