I just want to take a quick break from the book talk and find out what everybody out there is watching. I have to say I miss the days of my youth when I always knew what I was watching from 8PM-10PM Mon – Fri. Do you guys remember when television had a set schedule and they actually stuck to it? Do you all remember when a show would run for a whole season with minimal hiatuses or breaks?
Nowadays it’s so hard to find a quality program that sticks to the same schedule consistently or doesn’t take fifty-leven breaks throughout the season. But when I do find a show I love I try to support and tune in regularly. Below are the shows that is must see tv for me.
1. The Game:
I was ecstatic when they brought this show back to tv. I started watching the re-runs and fell in love with it. It was the perfect blend of comedy and drama. The ladies were beautiful and the men were hot. I have to admit I’ve been less than impressed with the latest seasons, and I’m kinda pissed that they got rid of Kelly. But since I did help to fight to get it back, I’m going to hang in there with it and hope the writers can restore it to the show I fell in love with. The Game airs Tuesdays @ 10pm on BET.
Are you all watching this show? Me and my mom LOVE it. The mystery, the cunning, the backstabbing! I love it all. These people are rich, entitled, and insane. And just when you think it can’t get any better…somebody drops a new bomb! If you haven’t been watching you have to catch up and then start watching regularly…this show is spectacular! Revenge airs Wednesdays @ 10pm on ABC.
3. Spartacus: Vengeance:
My oh my! My best friend got me watching Spartacus: Blood and Sand when it first premiered on Starz and I cannot get enough of this show. I hope you all are watching this because this show is bloody brilliant. I can’t even describe the awesomeness that is this show. I am saddened that Andy Whitfield (the original Spartacus) will not be returning for the third season. He was diagnosed with cancer and had to pull out. But he played Spartacus so well and I loved him…and he was beautiful to look at. See Pic below! Spartacus: Vengeance airs Fridays @ 10pm on STARZ.
4. Person of Interest:
My mom got me watching this show. The concept is pretty interesting. Finch has built a computer that can predict if a person is in danger. It spits out a social and the person belonging to that social will either be in danger, or causing the danger. Finch and Reese work together to try to prevent any harm coming to the person, or prevent them from harming others. And I love Taraji as Police investigator. This show usually has some action and Reese is usually kicking some ass…loves it. Person of Interest airs Thursdays @ 9PM on CBS.
Recent television addition:
Once Upon A Time. I watched the first two episodes and have the rest taped. I really need to catch up because the first two shows were intriguing.
The Firm based on the John Grisham novel. This one is only three episodes in, but so far so good. I’ll keep watching and see how it goes.
My guilty pleasures are all the reality tv shows that I watch. I probably shouldn’t but really I can’t help it. They are all so very entertaining. Reality must see tv:
The Jersey Shore
Love and Hip Hop
Housewives of Atlanta
Basketball Wives (Original and LA)
Oldies but Goodies:
A Different World
The Cosby Show
The Golden Girls
Boy Meets World
My Wife and Kids
Everybody Hates Chris
So, what are you all watching?
