Oct. 3: Female Lead Character:
I think one of my all-time favorite female lead characters will be Hermoine Granger of Harry Potter fame.  Personally I love the fact that she is super intelligent and talented.  And the love and caring she has for people, and especially for her boys, knows no bounds.  She’s such an admirable characters, and one I think young girls can be proud to look up to and aspire to be like.
As of late though I’ve really been loving Arya Stark from Game of Thrones.  This girl is so young, but so cunning and clever.  I mean, she can hold her own against any of these adults in the series that are backstabbing and scheming over everything.  Arya has an innate need to live and see those put to death that has ever wronger her family in any way.  This girl is a survivor!  She can assess a situation and always eventually figure a way out of any predicament she finds herself in.  She looks after her friends, and has such a deep love for her family.

  1. Great choice. I think mine would be Katnis from The Hunger Games. She really showed heart in that novel.

  2. I love both of the women you mentioned. I always loved that Hermione was so smart and intelligent. I loved how she was just a better wizard than the boys. I’ve only experienced Arya from the series, but boy is she a survivor.

Good list. I haven’t read Game of Thrones yet. I always did enjoy Hermiones character, nice pick.

  4. Ooh, great picks on both ladies! Totally agree!
