Why I Love Wednesdays is a weekly meme created and hosted by Alexis of Reflections of a Bookaholic. Each week she posts a Why I Love Topic that she answers. If you would like to participate head on over to her site for the topic and the image.

Topic: Movie/TV Adaptations

Movie and TV Adaptations are great.  I love that they can put a visual to some of your favorite stories and characters, and really bring the story to life.  Now if we’re being real, sometimes adaptations suck compared to the book. But sometimes, they also manage to just get it right.  My favorite as of right now would have to be the Game of Thrones Series on HBO.

The World, the characters, the costumes, the society and customs, I just love it all and I can’t get enough of this world.  I’ve been watching the second season over and over again, as well as the first.  Next year can’t come soon enough for me so I can watch this series!

My absolute favorites!?

And this clever girl…she’s a SURVIVOR!

And I can’t forget him!

If you haven’t watched this series, do yourself a HUGE favor and Netflix them, rent them, DVR them, whatever!  This is a show that should not be passed over or missed.  Entertainment value is through the roof!

  2. I followed your advice and you were so right. But now I’m scared. I’m thinking I might be too attached to the characters.

Oh the books are awesome. Though the first one follows the first season closely, you learn a lot more reading the second book than just watching the series.
