Why I Love Wednesdays: Humorous Reads

Why I Love Wednesdays is a weekly meme created and hosted by Alexis of Reflections of a Bookaholic. Each week she posts a Why I Love Topic that she answers. If you would like to participate head on over to her site for the topic and the image. This week’s topic:

Humorous Reads:

The Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series is probably some of the funniest books I’ve read recently.  I’ve only read the first three books so far, but each of them had me laughing out loud several times.  The first in the series had me laughing so hard I was bent over clutching my stomach with tears in my eyes.  This series is so simple, and fun, and such easy reading.  Definitely good pick me up books if you’re having a bad day, or are just in the mood for something funny and lighthearted!

  1. I haven’t heard of these before. I’m glad you enjoyed the first three, hopefully to get to enjoy the rest.

  2. There’s a movie based on the first book, right? I think I may have watched parts of it at one point. I enjoy funny and lighthearted books; they’re a nice break from the more serious ones.

  3. I’ve been meaning to check these out. I bet their hysterical.

They are hysterical Juju. I hope you get to them soon, especially if you need a laugh. They will be good books for your daughter to read once she comes of age.

Hahaha..i love the titles, they sound hilarious. Aren’t books that make you laugh fun..thanks for sharing these with me!

  5. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this series. I can’t believe I have yet to read a single book. If the covers make the laugh, I have no doubt the books are only better!

  6. Ohhh, I remember reading your review for one of these books before and thinking is sounded like so much fun, so seeing it as part of your Wednesday post this week is like a second hit to remind me of how hilarious it is! I LOVE books that can make me laugh to tears. Plus, those covers really reflect the funniness from the inside! x)

I hope you’re having a wonderful Wednesday, Jade! If not, you could probably read one of these books to make it better LOL :’) <3

Yes these books are awesome so far. I need to grab the next one as I’m curious to see what happens with her and the Sex God and Dave the Laugh.

  7. Wow that kind of reaction is one that I always love. I love books that not only put a smile on my face but makes me laugh. I’ve seen this series appearing over here before. I just need to get with the program and give the first one a try despite the covers. They are so colorful though. That’s why I remember them.

Damn it! I missed a good Why I love Wednesday. Boo! I’m such a slacker and this is just about the only meme I participate in. I love to laugh I’ll have to look into it. Is it British? The titles look like British slang.

Have you read anything by Rachel Gibson or Molly Harper? Both are freak’n hilarious!

  9. The covers on these books crack me up! 😀
