Book turned into a movie/tv show:

harryronhermoineI really hate to state the obvious, but Harry Potter is the first thing that comes to mind.  I do attest to loving the movies way before I ever even thought about reading the books.  But these books and movies had some of the greatest characters and they did a wonderful job casting these movies.  I say they hit the mark at least 95% of the time.  I’m sad it’s all ended but I do love watching the marathons on TV and can’t wait to reread the books next year.

I can’t believe you didn’t say Twilight for Jacob’s dreamy character. I admit I like Harry Potter as well.

I did think about listing Twilight for that very reason Lena. But I figured though Jake’s my favorite character, for overall story and characters, I’d have to go with HP.

HP, cmon.lol, lol. I’ve never read the book but I have seen one or two movies and thats when I gave in a put a tv in my room. lol

I knew you were going to pick Harry Potter. LOL!! Honestly, I am still surprised they did a movie instead of a TV series from the book. But it all came down to money. Movies make more money faster than a TV show.

  4. Missie says:

The did do a great job casting HP! Great choice!

  5. I agree to a 100%! I love these movies and how well they portray the books. Usually I dislike the movies, but HP always manages really well. It’s not often I think they fail on actor choices or scripts. I guess the only thing would be the new Dumbledore. The old one was so perfect, and the new one does certain things that just have me thinking “Dumbledore would never say/do that…”.

  6. Fabulous choice of course. I read the first few books before watching the movie and I remember how astounded I felt when I realized that they just got it right in the movie. That so rarely happens.

  7. Good call!

I love Harry Potter, Twilight, The Chronicles of Narnia…in fact I could go on and on. It’s so hard to choose.
