Topic: Book Family
It would be sooooo easy for me to say The Weaselys from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. But since I’ve named them before I decided to go with a recent favorite of mine. Though the Weaselys will have my heart ALWAYS…my new family I’m obsessed with is the Starks of Winterfell from the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin.
This family…this FAMILY has been through SO MUCH. But they press on, they hope and love, they persevere, they plan and scheme, they ABSOLUTELY and UNEQUIVOCALLY get all up in your mind and heart. I want so much for them to find their way back to each other, to be happy, to live and to love. I think they have elicited near about every emotion possible from me, and I’m still not tired of their journey. Exhausted with them for all they have been through, DEFINITELY. But ALWAYS eager to rejoin them and continue on with them through the terrors and the triumphs….A Feast of Crows, here I come!

Hi-five! Aren’t they just AWESOME!? Love the Weaseleys.
I love book families. A good thing considering most contemporary romance series feature a set of brothers or sisters. Although my favorite type of book family is the one made out of friends, maybe because I can relate to those. Besides, we don’t need to share blood to be family
Great post!

I agree. For instance I so love the BDB and the MB guys. They have their own sort of family as Alexis pointed out, and it works.
When I was drafting my post I tried to think who you would choose and I’m glad to say I was right
I’ve enjoyed this family but I’m wondering if that is setting myself up for heartbreak. I’m just not sure if they will make it, you know?

Yes I KNOW Alexis. But at this point I’m so invested I figure I have to take the good with the bad. I worry so much for these people it’s like they’re real.
Great choice(s)! This is a tough one for me – I have no idea which bookish family I’d choose.

It was hard for me to choose. Though families seem to be rare in books now…when they are present, they make such a great impact.
