My favorite banned books from the list are below. I don’t know if you all know how EPIC these books were to my childhood. Each of them I read several times and am itching to buy them again so I can reminisce on the greatness that they are. Judy Blume’s Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret (how could this be banned?) gave me relatable characters. I don’t where I’d be without the Judy Blume books I loved so much. She did a great service to little girls everywhere. The Boy Who Lost His Face was pure genius. Louis Sachar always managed to hit the mark for me and I have so much LOVE for this book! And Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry by Mildred Taylor was awesomeness. The issues were tough and difficult, but she wrote it so expertly as to relate such heinous events and happenings to kids and teens. As a result I grabbed all of her books I could find, and re-read this one over and over. I don’t think my childhood would have been complete without those books. And last but not least…Harry Potter! And I really think there is no need for an explanation!
What are your favorite banned books from the list?
