Rec Reads (5)
Friday August 3, 2012 at 12:00 am |

Rec Reads is a feature I’ll be posting every once in a while. It is just a post to show the books I purchased or acquired as a result of a great review by one or more of my fellow book bloggers. It’s just a quick and fun way to let my fellow bloggers know that I do read their reviews and appreciate the time they spent reading the book and writing the review for us. So this is just a nod to say thanks for the reviews and keep up the hard work. Your work and suggestions are not being given in vain.

Delirium by Lauren Oliver suggested by Alexis of Reflections of a Bookaholic.  Read her review here.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner suggested by M. Christine Weber.  Read her review here.

Of Poseidon by Anna Banks suggested by Mimi of Diminutive Mimi.  Read her review here.

Heist Society by Ally Carter suggested by Missie of The Unread Reader.  Read her review here.

The Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg suggested by Molli of Once Upon A Prologue.  Read her review here.

This is a cool idea, Jade. I always want to give credit to the bloggers that find me my next read. When I forget who did, I always feel bad about that!

  2. Great list. I love M. Christine (started following her on your recommendation actually). Her reviews are so good she could convince me to read just about anything.

Me too! And that’s cool! I actually love both of your reviews because you ladies do them in your own unique styles. And I agree, I end up wanting to read everything she reviews!

      • And Jade my dear, I am continually blown away by your kindness. Thank you for always highlighting others — especially when you’re so incredibly brilliant all on your very own. I’m grateful to be a follower. You’re one of the absolute sweetest (and most generous) bloggers I know. :0)

    • Um wow. This was like my happy/squealy/I-feel-totally-honored moment for the month. Thanks for the kind words and for liking my reviews, Juju. You are so dang sweet. And what I love most about your reviews (and blog for that matter) is how totally, effortlessly sincere you are. You put your heart into your words and make the rest of us want to be better because of them.

  4. I love this post. I want to read Delirium as well. But to many books here at the house. And for some reason my reading has slowed down a bit. Need to get back to it!

  5. I’ve been going back and forth on whether I want to read Heist Society and since I’m a fan of The Unread Reader I know i’ll give it a try.

    Thanks for the recs !

  6. Molli says:

AWESOME idea, chica! I’m thrilled you bought CATASTROPHIC HISTORY! Now I hope you like it! And YAY, Delirium!!! Everyone should read that book!

  7. Thanks Jade! I really loved that book. I want to read The Maze Runner too.

  8. This post has just seriously jacked up my library request list. :0) I want them all. Today. And I love that you’re keeping a list of who recommends what! I’m totally going to start doing this — such a fabulous idea. (And super thoughtful and generous of you — as always.)

Thanks for the mention dear lady. :0)

You are most welcome! Yes, I thought it would be fun to keep track of the books I end up buying because one of my fellow book bloggers has convinced me it’s worthwhile.
