Big Book Summer Challenge Update
Friday August 26, 2016 at 4:23 pm |

So the challenge is will be over September 5th and I have managed to read 3 of the 4 books I posted.  I probably could have gotten through all of them in plenty of time, but I took my sweet time reading A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons.  I usually get through them way faster than I did, but I was busy with other things so it was put on the back burner.  But I still enjoyed them just as much as before.  Anyway, below are the books I managed to read for the challenge:

  1. Congrats on reading 3 out of 4! I’d love to do a reread of ASoIaF because there are so many things I missed the first time around, but it’d take me forever. When I look back on how massive A Storm of Swords and A Dance with Dragons are especially, I’m not sure how I got through the books the first time, LOL!

Thanks Lee! That’s how I feel every time I re-read any of the GOT books. I find new details, and things with new significance every time. And it’s so easy to get swept up in the world once you start. But they are soooo long and it took me forever and a day this time!

I need to catch up on A Song for Ice and Fire series. I’m so ready for season 7 to start for GOT, and sometimes I just don’t feel like reading the books.

Me too Lakeisha! I cannot WAIT for season 7, but i can’t resist the books either. When I start missing the series I re-read the books or start the series all over again!

  3. Congratulations, Jade! Three Big Books in one summer is great…especially when two of them are in the 1000-page range!! Way to go!

So glad you joined the fun this summer – hope you will join the challenge next year!

    Thanks for participating!
