I don’t have a post planned for today so I think I’m just gonna ramble about books for a minute. So I’ve been flying through books lately, way faster than usual. This blog and all the reading must be training me and making me into a faster reader. Also, I keep collecting more and more books. Seriously, they’re never ending. And I’ve purchased some on account of my fellow bloggers reviews and recommendations. It’s tax free weekend here in NC this weekend so I will more than likely be purchasing a few more tomorrow as well. So I will be posting another Rec Reads post soon, showcasing all the books I bought because of your reviews.
Speaking of fellow bloggers, I’d like to give a big hearty thanks to Brenda, Sidne, and Dee! All of these ladies were kind enough to shout me out on their blogs or in a guest post. Just wanted to say thank you and that your kindness has been noted and appreciated, and I will do my best to repay your kindness in the future. I was also asked to be a sort of feature on a couple of my blogger friends’ sites soon. I won’t name them until the day, but I’m honored to be asked, and excited to participate. So thanks again for the blogger support everyone, it means a lot.
Now for my recent book deals. First my mom and sister found this warehouse full of used books about 20 mins from my home. They were all selling for .25 cent a piece….so you know I racked up right? I got 36 books for nine bucks! Talk about the deal of the century! And these people have informed us they will have a sell like that once a month and they will notify us by email each weekend they do. So I think I better figure out some more storage. I picked up a lot of Maeve Binchy books. I’ve never read one, but I got them because Alexis recommended her. So I said for a quarter, I’ll surely be trying those books. And I know I’ve probably completely murdered the spelling of that name, but at this late hour, I can’t be bothered to look up the correct spelling.
Now I’m excited because I’m finally reading Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. My sister was a dear and bought me the paperback copy from Amazon and had it shipped to me. YAY and YAY, SQUEE and alladat! I’ve just started reading and already find myself caught up in the whole District atmosphere.
I think that’s about all I have to ramble about for now. It’s 3AM and Clarissa Explains It All is on! Who else used to love this show as a kid?
*Singing* And I still won’t grow up, I’m a grown ass kid.
